Most cases run somewhere between six and eighteen months, driven by how far the teeth need to travel. You will get an estimated timeline from your scan before you decide, not a vague range afterwards.
They are shaded to match your enamel and they are small. Someone looking closely in bright light may spot them. In normal conversation, across a desk or a table, they are not obvious.
You move on to retainers, and you keep wearing them. Teeth have a long memory and will creep back toward their old position without retention. Vivera retainers are made from the same scan data.
If your policy lets you pick your own dentist, you can almost certainly use it at our Newhall office, and we will file the claim for you so your insurer reimburses you directly. Many policies carry a separate lifetime orthodontic allowance, and we will check whether yours does before you start.
